What is Social Phobia?
Social phobia, or Social anxiety disorder (SAD), is classified
as a significant fear of social situations or interactions that are
so powerful they cause a person to be unable to function in social
situations. This inability to function can be very problematic to
the patient's daily life as even the most critical situations
usually do require some form of social interaction. Social anxiety
disorder is one of the most common and prevalent anxiety disorders
and is treated separately in Al Mashfa.
